DAY 1 - Arrival Costa Rica
Welcome to nature's wonderland. Interact's foreign representative will meet you in the airport lobby. Transfer to Rancho Lodge or a hotel near the airport.
DAY 2 - Arenal / Sky Trek Zipline
Transfer to Arenal, Costa Rica's most iconic volcano. On your drive, stop in Sarchi, Costa Rica's main artisan town. The colorfully painted miniature oxcarts that you see all over the country are made here. Upon arrival in Arenal, experience Sky Trek. You'll ride the open-air gondola to the top of the mountain where the zipline begins. Cables stretch from mountain to mountain, crossing canyons, going into the forests, and even sometimes in between clouds. Later, transfer to your lodge located in the Arenal region.
DAY 3 - Rio Celeste
Scenic countryside drive through rural Costa Rica to the Rio Celeste National Park. Get ready for your 3-mile "intermediate hike" through the dense, lush, tropical rainforest. You and your naturalist guide go at your own pace as you learn interesting things about the rainforest. Then, arrive to "Los Tenideros" where two rivers come together to form the celestial, turquoise blue color that gives the waterfall its name "Celeste." On your return, visit the "Ollas" - or mud baths. For the grand finale, witness and photograph the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfalls.

DAY 4 - Maleku /  / Hot Springs
Prepare for your most unique cultural experience with a visit to the Maleku Indigenous Village. Begin with a walk through the jungle where you will learn about different medicinal plants and Maleku customs. Enjoy a delicious traditional meal followed by a typical art project (included) of painting hollowed out gourds. Then, gather in the Maleku traditional house for a cultural presentation and the opportunity to purchase genuine Maleku masks and art. Later, drive to a hot springs recreational area, such as Baldi. Swim in one of nature's therapeutic pools.
DAY 5 - Coffee Plantation / La Guacima Homestay
Perk up! Get the inside scoop when you visit Espiritu Santo. A visit to this coffee plantation will give you a front row seat to every step in the coffee-making process including sipping the finished product. Then, browse the souvenir shop, where you can purchase every coffee product under the sun. Continue to Rancho de Espanol, where you'll meet your host family.
HOMESTAY:
Rancho de Espanol language campus, founded in 1994, is located in the countryside community of La Guacima, Alajuela. Rancho interviews, selects and monitors families. Everyone speaks Spanish in the home. Rancho serves as the meeting point and social center for all activities. The park-like campus features a swimming pool, volleyball, and soccer.
DAY 6 - SOMOS /
Participate in our exclusive SOMOS humanitarian total experience. Today, you'll receive a list of the most needed items. Then, you'll visit a modern "super", such as Walmart, where you'll purchase those supplies (budget $15 per student). Finally, complete your SOMOS experience as you interact with the children (subject to school calendar availability) while painting, gardening, etc. Later at Rancho, participate in both the dance and cooking

DAY 7 - Manuel Antonio National Park
Enjoy a panoramic drive along the Pacific Coast to Manuel Antonio National Park. Explore the walking trails, with tons of wildlife, and then spend the afternoon at a beautiful white-sand beach. Cool off and swim, or just lie on the beach and soak-in the scenery.
